Adult Religious Education - arrange, publicize and host spiritual programs and experiences.  If the need should arise we might expand this committee in the future to include religious education for teens and children.

Altar Serving  - Provide altar servers at Masses and other functions in the Cathedral.  Train people who want to become servers.

Cathedral Securities - Provide assistance to Law Enforcement personnel in controlling parking and traffic at the Cathedral complex during special events.

Environment and Art - A multi-tasked committee that will maintain the Cathedral's altars, altar cloths, candles, vestments,  and flower arrangements.  Maintain,  decorate and prepare for special occasions at the Cathedral and  the Cathedral Community Center, the offices of Cathedral Ministries and the Rectory.

Eucharistic Ministers - Create a regular schedule of ministers to distribute the Body and Blood of Christ at each Mass. Take Communion to shut-ins and hospital patients.  Facilitate training for people who want to enter this ministry.  The activities of this committee will be under the personal direction of Fr. Mike.

Fashion Show - Work on our annual fashion show by helping acquire a site, working on publicity, coordinating printing, selling tickets and chances, decorating, hosting, arranging for presenters of fashions, etc.  This is a very important committee as it has raised substantial funds for the Cathedral.

Garden - Create and maintain year-round gardens on the grounds of the Cathedral and the rectory; to be coordinated with Diocesan maintenance dept.

Gift Shop - Purchase approved religious articles and material for display and sale in a religious gift shop tentatively scheduled to be included in the new Cathedral Community Hall.  This gift shop would be open for certain, not all, functions in the Community Hall and would be open after Mass on Sundays and perhaps Saturday evenings.  Inventory control and reconciliation of sales is part of the ministry.  Perhaps the making of rosaries can be part of this ministry.

Golf Tournament - Work on arrangements and preparations for the Annual Cathedral Golf Tournament that may prove to be an important source of revenue for the many Cathedral improvement projects already being planned.

Hospitality - Prepare and serve refreshments for appropriate special occasions at Cathedral, Community Hall, Rectory and Cathedral Ministry office.  Participate in the clean-up following the vent.  This committee would plan and stage parties, functions and/or picnics for our own Cathedral Ministry membership.

House of Charity - Assist the Cathedral in attaining their annual House of Charity goal by soliciting donations and/or planning and sponsoring some special money-raising event.  This committee provides an opportunity to be especially creative.

Liturgy - Plan for weekly Mass, special Masses, Benedictions, Rosaries, Novenas and other Liturgical events in the Cathedral.  This committee will work closely with Father Mike on these events.

Membership - Solicit new membership for Cathedral Ministries.

Music Ministry - Plan the hymns and music for Masses and other Liturgical events, recruit vocalists and musicians, plan music for special Masses, coordinate and sponsor the annual Jazz Vespers service.  This committee will work closely with Father Mike.

Newsletter - Create and distribute to the membership an informative and entertaining newsletter that can serve as a meeting notice.  There may be a way to combine this newsletter with the weekly church bulletin.

Office Volunteer - Provide volunteer clerical help needed in Ministry office and Rectory.  Provide envelope addressers and stuffers for mass mailings.

Pro-Life - Keep up to date on issues affecting the Church's Pro-Life mission.  Connect with major, Catholic and ecumenical Pro-Life organizations to ascertain which program and events would be of interest to our organization, liaison with Liturgy Committee to ensure that Pro-Life initiatives are made part of our worship when appropriate, plan for a day in the future when our organization might support a house for unmarried mothers-to-be to ensure that their babies will be born and, hopefully, enter a holy and nurturing living environment.

Publicity - Do everything possible to let both the Catholic community and the community-at-large know the who, what, when , and where of the Cathedral Ministry mission.  Be a resource for the other committees in the Ministry who need publicity for their events by either assigning one of our members to do their publicity or simply being a resource for that committee's own publicity person.

Special Events - An extremely important committee that handles all of the arrangements and logistics for events that are either annual or one-time in nature and does not have a committee of its own.  Examples of these events are the annual Mass for Firefighters/EMS; the annual Mass for Law Enforcement,; Annual Cathedral Reunion Mass (especially reaching out to Camden Catholic High School alumni, Cathedral Academy alumni, St. Mary's Grammar School alumni, and/or former parishioners of the Cathedral) and other similar events.  This committee will work closely with other Ministry committees such as Publicity, Hospitality, Liturgy, Music, Altar Servers, Ushers and Greeters, Eucharistic Ministers and others in order to accomplish their mission.

Ushers and Greeters - Usher and greet at the regular and special Masses and other events in the Cathedral.  Greeters may be utilized for other special functions.

Web Site - Combine Cathedral Ministries and the Cathedral under one web site and keep it updated and at all times.  Establish links between our site and other worthwhile Catholic and educational sites after getting Father Mike's approval.
